Scope of Work

  • Branding
  • Logo Design
  • Web Design

There are projects where the brief is simple: fix the nav, update the colors, add a contact form. And then there are projects where you get to build something from the ground up, from the very first mark on paper to a fully functioning digital experience. Motor Vault was the latter.

When Pat Pauly came to us, Motor Vault was a concept becoming a reality. A private, members-only vehicle storage facility in Lexington, Kentucky, heated, secured, surveilled around the clock, with an on-site mechanic, detailing services, F1 racing simulators, a TrackMan golf simulator, and a private members lounge. The kind of place that doesn't exist in most cities. The kind of place that needed a brand and a website that matched the experience it was promising.

Starting from Scratch: Brand and Logo

Before a single page was designed we had to establish who Motor Vault was visually. The brand needed to feel premium without feeling pretentious. Exclusive without being cold. It's a place for people who treat driving as a lifestyle, car enthusiasts who appreciate performance, craftsmanship, and community equally.

The logo and visual identity we developed leans into that balance. Bold typography, a dark palette anchored by black and gold, and a mark that reads as automotive and architectural at the same time. The MV monogram is clean enough to live on a building sign and bold enough to hold its own on a merchandise piece or a social post.

Every downstream design decision, the website, the members portal, the photography treatment, flows from that initial brand foundation.

The Website

The public-facing site at motorvaultky.com had one primary job: make someone who has never heard of Motor Vault feel like they need to be a member by the time they leave the page.

We built it in Framer with a cinematic, full-screen video hero that puts you inside the facility immediately. No text-heavy above-the-fold section. No generic stock photography. Just the space, the vehicles, and the atmosphere, exactly as it exists in real life. The video is compressed and delivered via Cloudflare for fast load times without sacrificing quality.

The site is structured around the member experience rather than a traditional services list. Secure Storage. Members Lounge. F1 Racing Sims. Golf Sims. On-Site Mechanic. On-Site Detailing. Each benefit gets its own dedicated page with the depth a prospective member needs to understand what they're actually getting access to. The single call to action throughout is Schedule A Tour, low friction, high intent.

The navigation is minimal and confident. Motor Vault doesn't need to oversell. The facility sells itself once you see it.

The Members Portal

Beyond the public site, Motor Vault needed a private digital space for existing members, a password-protected area where members can access exclusive content, event information, and community resources that aren't visible to the general public.

The members portal is gated behind authentication, keeping the exclusive nature of the club intact digitally as well as physically. Prospective members see enough on the public site to want in. What's inside stays inside, which is exactly the right dynamic for a membership business built on exclusivity.

The Result

Motor Vault launched with a brand and digital presence that matched the ambition of the physical space. The website communicates the atmosphere, the exclusivity, and the lifestyle in a way that a template site simply couldn't. The members portal reinforces the value of membership beyond the four walls of the facility.

For a business where perception is part of the product, getting the brand right from the beginning wasn't optional. It was the foundation everything else was built on.

If you're launching something that deserves to look as good as it actually is, we'd love to be part of it from day one.

We wanted Motor Vault to feel like the kind of place you have to be a part of before you ever walk through the door. Rocket Web Studio understood that immediately and built a brand and a website that does exactly that. The level of quality matches what we deliver inside the facility.
